Breaking News: Rep. Kolubah Expelled as House Dismisses Supreme Court Halt Claims

Capitol Hill | April 17, 2026 — The House of Representatives has overwhelmingly expelled Montserrado County District 10 Representative Yekeh Y. Kolubah.

The House action follows a report from the House’s Committee on Rules, Order, and Administration (ROA) recommending the expulsion of Representative Kolubah.

With 49 members signing the resolution, the recommendation was presented to plenary during Friday’s sitting, where lawmakers received the committee’s report in full and proceeded with actions to enforce its outcome.

Meanwhile, the Office of the House Clerk has denied claims that the Supreme Court of Liberia had issued a communication instructing the Legislature to halt the proceedings.

According to Deputy Chief Clerk Tuah Woods, she did not receive any such communication from the Supreme Court.
