The Northwest Arkansas Naturals rallied from a 4-2 deficit after four innings to claim a 9-4 win over Corpus Christi to snap a three-game skid on Thursday night at Whataburger Field.

Brett Squires’ run-scoring single tied the game at 4, and the Naturals (7-5) grabbed the lead with two in the seventh. Catcher Omar Hernandez reached on a bunt single and scored on a wild pitch for a 5-4 Northwest Arkansas lead. The Naturals padded the lead to 6-4 thanks to Colton Becker’s infield single to score Hernandez from third.

Squires, who went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI, singled and later scored on a wild pitch in the eighth for a 7-4 advantage. Leadoff man Carson Roccaforte went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double, drove in two runs and scored three times. Becker and Connor Scott added two hits each for Northwest Arkansas.

Relievers Oscar Rayo, Tommy Molsky and Zachary Cawyer combined for 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out four. Rayo picked up the win thanks to 2 2/3 scoreless innings. He allowed one hit, struck out three and didn’t walk a batter.

The same two teams square off on Friday in Corpus Christi. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
