Heatwave Continues Across AP, Telangana States, Temperatures Rise

The scorching heat persists across the Telugu states, with temperatures surpassing 40°C in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning, urging the public to take precautions amid severe sultry conditions and hot winds. The Amaravati Meteorological Centre reports southerly winds blowing from the South-Southwest over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, indicating varying weather patterns.

In Andhra Pradesh, the forecast for the next three days is as follows: North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam will experience dry weather, with thunderstorms and lightning possible in isolated areas. Hot, humid, and uncomfortable conditions are expected throughout. South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema will also see dry weather, with heatwave conditions developing in some places. Temperatures are forecast to gradually increase by 2–4°C over four days.

Telangana’s weather forecast indicates dry conditions for Thursday to Saturday, with maximum temperatures rising by 1–2°C. The Hyderabad Meteorological Department explains that a North-South trough extending from Madhya Pradesh to Tamil Nadu is influencing weather patterns across the region.
