VALLEY GLEN, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Another multimillion-dollar home was burglarized overnight Wednesday in the San Fernando Valley, and the LAPD was investigating whether the break-in was tied to a recent series of similar crimes in the area.

Officers responded Wednesday night at 9:30 p.m. to a report of a burglary suspect at a home in the 6800 block of Vanscoy Avenue, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The officers found evidence of a break-in and a burglary, the spokesperson said. The suspects fled before police arrived at the scene. No descriptions of the suspects or the stolen property were available.

Two multi-million-dollar homes were burglarized within minutes of each other, prompting an investigation into whether the break-ins are connected.

The previous two break-ins happened about two miles apart in Valley Village, with the second of those happening about 15 minutes after the first, authorities said. Investigators are also examining whether at least one of the incidents could be linked to a similar burglary spree in the San Fernando Valley over the weekend.
