Opposition Coalition Calls Out PM’s Blatant Defiance of Court Order

The 28-member coalition has intensified its criticism of the Prime Minister.

The 28-member coalition has intensified its criticism of the Prime Minister, accusing him of defying a High Court order by leaving the country and failing to convene Parliament within the mandated three-day period.

The coalition said the decision shows a serious disregard for the rule of law and undermines the authority of the judiciary, warning that the deadline for compliance is imminent.

It raised concerns about the constitutional implications of the Prime Minister’s actions, particularly given claims he is unlawfully holding office while leading a minority government.

Describing the situation as an international embarrassment, the coalition said the Prime Minister’s conduct erodes public trust, weakens institutional integrity, and falls short of expected standards of leadership.

The coalition reiterated its call for immediate compliance with the court order, stressing that the Constitution must be upheld, the judiciary respected, and Parliament convened without delay.
