Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has emphasised that upholding democratic values is the greatest tribute to Dr B.R. Ambedkar, on the occasion of his 135th birth anniversary.
In a social media post, Naidu honoured the architect of the Indian Constitution, social reformer, and Bharat Ratna, recognising Ambedkar’s lifelong fight against caste discrimination and untouchability. He praised Ambedkar’s pursuit of higher education despite adversity and credited him with shaping India’s democratic framework.
“Dr. Ambedkar’s efforts ensured equal opportunities and constitutional protection for all citizens. Our collective goal must be to realise his ideals. The best tribute we can pay is to uphold democratic values and act responsibly,” Naidu stated.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also paid homage, highlighting Ambedkar’s role as a visionary leader and the first Law Minister of independent India. “His relentless fight for social justice, equality, and empowerment continues to inspire us,” he posted.
K.T. Rama Rao, President of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), also paid tribute. He described Ambedkar as a noble soul who dedicated his life to uplifting marginalised communities and designing the Indian Constitution.
Rama Rao noted Ambedkar’s significance in securing Telangana’s aspiration for statehood through Article 3 and said that the BRS government’s nine-and-a-half-year tenure has been inspired by him.
To honour Ambedkar’s legacy, the Telangana government has erected a 125-foot statue of him in Hyderabad and named the state Secretariat after him. “We pay our sincere tributes to this towering figure,” Rao added.
