Gage Doyle shot a 5-over 77 in the first round and an 8-over 80 in the second round for a total score of 13-over 157. He goes into the second day tied for 87th place.

“We had some OK individual rounds today, but didn’t play well all together as a team,” WKU coach Austin King said in a news release. “I was happy to see Will bounce back this afternoon with a good under par round and Trev played better in the afternoon as well. Rafe was steady most of the day outside of a few swings and Gage and Ethan will have better days tomorrow. Looking to finish strong so we can have some momentum heading into Texarkana here in a few weeks.”
The Hilltoppers will finish the Mountaineer Invitational on Tuesday.
