One dead in Barren crash

A crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor trailer early Friday in Barren County resulted in the death of one driver.

Kentucky State Police said it received a call about the crash at the intersection of Ky. 90 and Flint Knob Road shortly after 5 a.m. Friday.

According to KSP, a black 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Timothy Parson, 41, of Glasgow, was traveling west on Ky. 90 when it crossed the center line and crashed into a 2022 Peterbilt commercial vehicle driven by Rayen Hicks, 32, of Sellersburg, Indiana.

Parson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by KSP.
