Two dead in house fire Sunday morning in Everett

EVERETT — Two people died Sunday morning after a house fire in Everett.

Around 8 a.m. Sunday, the Everett Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a residence in the 3800 block of Wetmore Avenue, according to the department’s spokesperson, Rachael Doniger.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within approximately 20 minutes, Doniger said. The fire was contained to the house.

First responders attempted life-saving measures before pronouncing the two victims dead at the scene.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire, and the Everett Police Department is conducting a death investigation.
