Your Friday, April 3 Guide: Five Things to do in the Oil City

CASPER, Wyo. — It’s Friday once again, which means, once again, you made it through another week. You should be proud of yourself, and you should treat yourself to the myriad of events and activities happening throughout Casper on Friday. From Rodney Carrington to live music, yoga and more, this is everything happening Friday in the Oil City.

The Oil City Daily Event Guide is sponsored by Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo.

Theraexpressions Meditation is hosting a 75-minute yoga class on Friday, led by Candace Machado. It begins at 5:30 p.m.

“There is a place within you that is both ancient and steady,” the event page states. “A place beneath the noise, beneath the tension and beneath the doing where breath moves energy, awareness meets sensation and the nervous system remembers how to feel safe in presence. This is the space of Rooted & Regulated. Beginning with a guided meditation to gather awareness inward and in stillness for out of mind loops and into embodied noticing. The breath begins to deepen as Kundalini breathwork awakens subtle currents of life force, moving through spine and center like a quiet ignition of aliveness. Not forced, not overwhelming but steady. Intentional. Sacred.

“Somatic yoga follows with slow, sensing based movement that speaks directly to the central nervous system. Unwinding. Re-patterning. Restoring regulation from the inside out. Movement is minimal. Awareness is vast. Presence leads everything. Within Rooted & Regulated, many experience: nervous system settling and resilience deeper breath capacity and energy flow release of stored tension patterns grounded spiritual awareness connection to inner vitality and truth Not through intensity but through attunement. This is not performance spirituality. It is lived embodiment. Root below. Breath within. Energy rising gently through a regulated, supported body.

“All levels of yogis welcome. For those seeking a grounded nervous system reset and deeper spiritual connection. Come to root. Come to breathe. Come to remember what lives within you.”
