, accompanied by several Cabinet members, visited the Pachacamac Archaeological Sanctuary on Thursday.
This site spans more than 450 hectares and comprises 50 architectural structures linked to different cultures.
During the visit, the Cabinet chief highlighted the combination of religious tradition and tourism in the country.
“After that we arrived in Pachacamac (district) to see that combination of being in the church (…) and now in a museum here in Pachacamac to see the history of our Incas as well,” Arroyo said.
The Executive Branch expects an increase in economic activity during the long holiday weekend (April 2-5).
The Prime Minister noted that “today Mincetur announced very positive expectations from now until 2030, with more than S/2 billion (above US$577 million). In this period alone, over these four days, it amounts to S/160 million (about US$46 million).”
Citizen security
Regarding citizen security, the Prime Minister stated that order will be ensured during the April 12 General Elections.
This includes the deployment of more than 50,000 police agents and ongoing coordination with the Armed Forces and Serenazgo (municipal security personnel).
In that regard, Arroyo said efforts are underway to reduce crime rates.
