Fire under investigation at a church in southeast Albuquerque

No one was hurt in the fire.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque Fire Rescue is investigating an early morning church fire in the International District.

Firefighters brought it under control in about 25 minutes.

Crews responded to Interfaith Bible Center near Mesilla Street and Trumbull Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

No one got hurt in the fire.

KOB 4 featured the church before for its homeless outreach work.

Last year, Pastor Joanne Landry was creating life-saving sleeping bags for people living on the streets.

Landry also provides clothes and serves meals at the Compassion Services Center in the International District.
