Kuwait’s Interior Ministry on Monday announced the arrest of three individuals for using drones without permits in violation of recent regulations and prior warnings.
In a media briefing, ministry spokesperson Brigadier Nasser Busalib said the suspects have been referred to the competent authorities for legal action. He renewed warnings against violating official instructions under current conditions, stressing a complete ban on drone usage due to its threat to security and military operations.
He stated that explosive ordnance disposal teams handled 606 reports involving debris from interception operations since the beginning of the Iranian aggression. A visual presentation was also presented highlighting Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team’s efforts in dealing with debris and unidentified objects outside threat zones.
He noted that three days left before the deadline for the exceptional period to surrender unlicensed firearms, ammunition and explosives, urging the public to comply before it ends Wednesday.
He reiterated the ministry’s strict enforcement of the law against violators, calling for full adherence to official instructions to ensure public safety and support security efforts. – Kuna
