On Sunday, the United Arab Emirates’ air defense intercepted 58 aerial weapons launched from Iran.
According to Ukrinform, the UAE Ministry of Defense reported this on the social network X.
“The UAE air defences on 29th March 2026 engaged 16 ballistic missiles and 42 UAV’s launched from Iran,” the statement reads.
It is noted that since the start of the “blatant Iranian attacks,” the UAE’s air defense has intercepted 414 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,914 UAVs.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, two military personnel and eight civilians were killed as a result of the Iranian attacks. A total of 178 people sustained injuries of varying severity.

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 24, the UAE’s air defense intercepted 22 aerial targets, including 5 ballistic missiles and 17 unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran.
