WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Brandon has been a part of the Local 5 team since July of 2024. His role has changed over the years, but his desire to tell Iowans’ stories never has. He has been a multiskilled journalist since March 2026.
Growing up on the southside of Des Moines, you know he can appreciate a good Bordenaro’s pizza. Brandon’s alma mater is the University of Northern Iowa, where he graduated with a degree in Digital Media Production.
Brandon loves anything outdoors but especially disc golf, pickleball (or any racket sport) and going on walks. Brandon will always root for his UNI panthers, but grew up a die-hard Iowa fan and will remain that way.
Brandon remains committed to making sure that he is not only telling the stories that Iowans want to hear, but making sure all sides are represented. Brandon’s passion for journalism means he is always seeking the truth. He also feels the best people to serve Iowans are the Iowans themselves.
