MUSCAT – In Ibra, villages including Masroun, Al Falij, Al Thabiti, Al Alaya, and surrounding settlements, as well as the northern villages of Al Yahmedi, Qafifa, and Al Haima, were hit by significant rainfall, resulting in the flow of most local wadis. Key valleys affected included Qafifa, Al Sabakh and Jadia, among others.
Al Mudhaibi recorded heavy rain in villages such as Al Jarda, Al Wariyah, Baad, Al Rawdah, and Al Masfah, causing the valleys of Baad and Al Ram to flow. The Niabat of Samad Al Shan and its villages also saw heavy rainfall, leading to the flow of valleys including Andam, Al Suwairij, and Dhaadha. The central areas of the wilayat and nearby villages experienced flooding in the valleys of Al Malah, Al Lathli, and Bu Hasiyah.
In Al Qabil, heavy to moderate rainfall affected villages including Wadi Nam, Al Sarm, and Al Ghalaji, triggering the flow of valleys such as Al Sarm, Sawa, Shannah, and Al Aqida. In Bidiya, scattered moderate to light rainfall accompanied by active downdrafts caused the valleys of Al-Dhaher, Al-Wasel, and Al-Muntarib to flow.
Wadi Bani Khalid saw heavy to moderate rain in villages including Al-Amiqeen, Habiseen, and Maqal, resulting in most valleys flowing, particularly Maqal and Al-Amiqeen. Dima and Al-Taiyyin recorded rainfall in Mas, Al-Sabil, Al-Masfa, Al-Mudayra, and Al-Hamam, leading to the flow of valleys including Wadi Ham and Qabat, as well as the formation of water pools in affected villages.
In Sinaw, the central town and surrounding villages such as Al-Wasit, Bu Eid, Al-Bathaa, Barzman, Safra Al-Duh, and eastern settlements received heavy to moderate rainfall accompanied by hail, triggering the flow of several valleys, most notably Wadi Al Batha.
