Juba Community Steering Committee takes charity outreach to Muslims

AYV News, March 24, 2026

The Juba Community Steering Committee has carried out a Ramadan charity outreach, providing essential food supplies to mosques across the Juba community in a show of solidarity and compassion during the holy month.

The initiative saw the distribution of key food items to ten mosques within the area, aimed at supporting communal Iftar meals and assisting vulnerable residents observing the fast.

According to the Committee, the donated items include 10 bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, and bags of onions—supplies intended to ease the burden on local worship centers that provide meals to congregants and those in need during Ramadan.

Speaking on the initiative, representatives of the Committee emphasized that the outreach reflects their continued commitment to community welfare and unity.

“Stronger communities are built when we look out for one another. We are honored to support our religious leaders and their congregations,” the Committee stated.

Residents and mosque leaders have welcomed the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful, particularly during a period when many families rely on communal support.

The Ramadan outreach forms part of the Committee’s broader efforts to promote social cohesion and ensure that no member of the community is left behind during important religious observances.

As the holy month continues, the initiative stands as a reminder of the power of collective giving and the importance of supporting one another in times of spiritual reflection and need.
