Fuqua wins boys’ 14 and under title at Rolling Hills

Bowling Green’s Paxton Fuqua claimed a three-stroke win in the boys’ 14 and under age division in a Bluegrass Golf Tour Series event held Sunday at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Russellville.

Fuqua fired a 3-over par 79 to earn medalist honors in his division. Eli Cope of Adolphus was fifth and Bowling Green’s Brock McIvor finished sixth.

Fuqua took first in the BGT Combo Regional #2, consisting of Saturday’s tournament at Crosswinds Golf Course and Rolling Hills, with a 17-over 161. McIvor tied for third and Cope was sixth.

Caroline Fuqua of Bowling Green won the girls’ 15 and under division with an 11-over 83. Glasgow’s Kailynn Peterson finished third. Fuqua won the combo regional with a 26-over 169, with Peterson finishing third.

In the boys’ 10 and under (9-hole) division, Rockfield’s Knox Potter shot a 5-over 41 for a two-stroke win. Franklin’s Jacob Jackson earned runner-up honors. Potter took second in the combo regional with a 9-over 81. Jackson was fourth.

Bowling Green’s Annalise Morris won the girls’ 12 and under (9-hole) division by two strokes with a 3-over 39. Morris earned runner-up honors in the combo regional with a 10-over 82.

Jorge Suarez of Bowling Green took first in the boys’ 15 and under division with an 8-over 80. Suarez won the combo regional with an 11-over 155.

Auburn’s Hudson Butler won the boys’ 13-18 (9-hole) division with a 23-over 59.

In the girls’ 19 and under division, Bowling Green’s Ellie Morgan tied for second with an 11-over 83. Bowling Green’s Mary Douglas Childers was fourth, Scottsville’s Ella Anderson tied for eighth, Franklin’s Kaylee Gehret was 10th and Bowling Green’s Darby Meredith finished 11th.

Morgan earned runner-up honors in the combo regional with a 25-over 169. Childers was fifth, Anderson was ninth, Gehret was 10th and Meredith was 11th.

Woodburn’s Carson Smith finished third in the boys’ 19 and under division with a 3-over 75. Franklin’s Dylan Fiveash tied for fifth, Morgantown’s Cooper Embry tied for eighth, Russeilville’s Davis Switzer finished 11th, Brownsville’s Ian Madison tied for 12th, Scottsville’s Kaden Stinson was 14th, Bowling Green’s Max Smith took 15th, Bowling Green’s John Canon Hamilton was 18th and Bowling Greens Camden Richerson was 19th.

Fiveash and Switzer tied for second in the combo regional after each totaled an 11-over 155. Embry was fifth, Carson Smith was sixth, Madison was 10th, Max Smith was 11th, Stinson was 12th, Richardson was 14th and Hamilton was 15th.

Russellville’s Jase Porter finished third in the boys’ 11-12 (9-hole) division with a 9-over 45. Bowling Green’s Eli Schardein tied for fifth. Schardein finished fifth in the combo regional.
