Energy and Mines Minister Angelo Alfaro Lombardi submitted his resignation letter, the

announced in a statement Sunday evening.

“The government expresses its recognition and gratitude to Mr. Angelo Alfaro for the services provided during his tenure, highlighting his commitment and effort in leading a strategic sector for the country’s development, especially in a complex context for national energy security,” it stated via social media.

The Presidential Office also reiterated the Executive Branch’s commitment to continue working firmly and responsibly for the benefit of all Peruvians.
