Amelia Stephen from St Martin’s Primary School has emerged as the top performer in Dominica’s 2025 Grade Six National Assessment, leading a group of outstanding students across the island’s primary schools.
Joining Stephen in the top five individual performers are Eliana Giraudel, also from St Martin’s Primary School in second place, followed by Peyton Hilarie from Petite Savanne Primary School, Kinaya Riviere from St John’s Primary School, and Casnaya Casimir from Newtown Primary School.
Meanwhile, Clifton Primary School recorded the highest institutional performance with a total standard score of 345.8, despite having only one student entry. The results demonstrate excellence at both individual and school levels, with top performers emerging from schools that didn’t necessarily achieve the highest overall institutional scores.
Pioneer Preparatory followed Clifton Primary in the school rankings with a score of 342.8 from 18 student entries, while Savanne Paille Primary in the Northern District secured third place with 336.7 points from two students.
The Western District dominated the institutional achievements, claiming eight of the twelve schools recognized for significant levels of achievement. These include Berean Christian Academy, Ebenezer SDA Primary, Convent Preparatory, Coulibistrie Primary, Christian Union Primary, and St Martin’s Primary.
St Martin’s Primary School demonstrated remarkable depth, with 74 student entries and a score of 321.8, producing two of the five top individual performers while maintaining strong overall results. The Eastern District was represented by Warner Primary with a score of 326.7, while the Southern District had Petite Savanne Primary achieving 324.7 points.
