MUSCAT — A low-pressure system affecting northern Oman is expected to continue in the coming hours, bringing thunderstorms and varying levels of rainfall across several governorates, according to Oman’s meteorological authorities.
In a statement carried by Oman TV, the national weather agency said the system would impact the northern parts of the Sultanate, with convective cloud activity leading to intermittent rainfall that could range in intensity.
The forecast indicates that thunderstorms may develop over mountainous and adjacent areas, with the possibility of localized heavy downpours in some regions.
Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, particularly in areas prone to water accumulation and flash flooding, as rapidly changing weather conditions could pose safety risks.
