Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw presents excellant awards to the trainee.

The closing ceremony of the Capacity-Building Course on Civil Service and Financial Regulations was held yesterday at the Public Finance Management Academy of the Ministry of Finance and Revenue in Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony was attended by Dr Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue, Daw Than Than Lin and U Han Win Aung, Deputy Ministers for Finance and Revenue, heads of departments, trainers and trainees.
At the ceremony, Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw encouraged the trainees to apply and implement practically relevant laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and directives that they have learned in the training, including civil service and financial regulations. He also instructed that the staff of the Budget Department have responsibilities for regulating the effective and efficient use of allocated revenues and expenditures to meet the expected targets, and give priority to the use of the country’s limited resources for the development of social and economic sectors in need. He highlighted that the performance of the departments will be improved only by improving staff’s skills and abilities. Therefore, he urged that staff should continuously try their best with high capacity by using the knowledge and expertise gained from the training. He encouraged them to effectively apply the procedures of public finance management learnt in the training in their workplaces and do their best to serve the interests of the state and the people.
The Union minister then presented awards to those who excelled in the training and presented certificates of completion.
Forty-three officials from departments under the Ministry of Finance and Revenue reportedly attended the course that lasted five weeks. — MoFR
