Oman condemns regional energy attacks, calls for urgent de-escalation

Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Oman’s firm rejection of attacks on critical energy infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of adhering to international laws and norms. The Sultanate warned against targeting civilian facilities and global energy supplies, noting the potential risks such actions pose to regional and international stability.

Oman underscored the urgent need to halt military operations and reduce escalating tensions, urging all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and peaceful negotiations. The statement highlighted that sustainable solutions to ongoing conflicts can only be achieved through diplomacy that safeguards the security and interests of both the region and the wider international community.

Reaffirming its solidarity with fellow Gulf nations, Oman expressed support for the legitimate measures being undertaken by the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia to protect their security and stability.

The Sultanate also called on the United Nations Security Council to take decisive action to address the situation and mitigate its repercussions.
