Kathmandu, March 13

Members of Parliament elected under the proportional representation system in the House of Representatives Elections held on March 5 have received their certificates.

At a program organised today at the Election Commission, the distribution of certificates to MPs elected through the proportional system from six different parties was held.

The Commission had published the list of 110 proportional representation MPs last Monday. According to the published details, 57 MPs were elected from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), 20 from the Nepali Congress, 16 from the CPN-UML, 9 from the Communist Party of Nepal, and 4 each from the Shram Sanskriti Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

After distributing the certificates to the MPs today, the Commission is also preparing to submit the complete election report, including the results of the House of Representatives Election 2082, to President Ram Chandra Paudel.

Once the complete report is submitted to the President, it will pave the way for the formation of a government in accordance with Article 76(1) of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015
