PAFN shuts down five outlets for selling spoiled and adulterated products

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, represented by the Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department, closed five food establishments as part of its ongoing monitoring efforts to ensure the safety of food products sold in markets and to protect consumer health.

In a press statement issued today, the Authority said that violations were found in these establishments, including the sale of food unfit for human consumption (spoiled), the distribution of adulterated food, and the thawing of frozen meat intended for sale as fresh.

The Authority explained that these establishments failed to comply with general hygiene standards during operations. It emphasized that its inspection and monitoring campaigns are continuing in various governorates to ensure adherence to approved health requirements and to maintain food safety in the markets.
