A risk of rapid fire spread is expected to expand across most areas this weekend, especially on Sunday.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A risk of rapid fire spread is expected to expand across most areas this weekend, especially on Sunday.

Damaging wind gusts are anticipated to impact portions of central and eastern New Mexico late Saturday night through Sunday.

Most areas, including the Rio Grande Valley, will experience a hard freeze Sunday night.

A strong area of high pressure will move over the region going into the middle of next week, resulting in record warmth for March.

Meteorologist Amanda Goluszka shares all the details in her full forecast in the video above.
