St Patrick’s Day is one of the wildest party days of the year, and this year it’s about to get even bigger. It’s all about good vibes, music and a sea of green.
Lovin Malta is teaming up with Mizzi G and David to bring back Malta’s biggest St Patrick’s street party, with a full street takeover happening in front of Big G’s and Quencher’s.
Expect packed bars, loud music, green outfits everywhere and the kind of chaos that has turned this celebration into a yearly ritual for thousands of partygoers.
But before the festivities kick off, here are a few do’s and don’ts to make sure everyone has a great time.
Do: Wear Green
Green is basically the uniform of St Patrick’s Day. Whether it’s a shamrock hat, ridiculous glasses or a full green outfit, leaning into the theme is all part of the fun.
Do: Pace Yourself
St Patrick’s Day can turn into a marathon rather than a sprint. With bars everywhere and the party starting early, spacing out drinks and staying hydrated can help you last the night.
Do: Grab A Lovin Malta Reusable Cup
To keep the party going while cutting down on waste, Lovin Malta will also have reusable cups available at the street party. Hold onto yours throughout the night and refill it while you enjoy the celebrations.
Do: Stick With Your Friends
With huge crowds expected, it’s always a good idea to keep track of your group. Check in with each other and make sure everyone gets home safely after the party.
Do: Bring The Good Vibes
The whole point of the street party is celebrating together. Come ready to dance, sing and enjoy the atmosphere.
Do: Take At Least One Chaotic Group Photo
Half the group blinking, someone photobombing and one person missing entirely. It’s tradition.
Do: Accept That You Will Bump Into At Least 20 People You Know
And at least five people you haven’t seen since sixth form.
Do: Prepare To Lose Your Voice
Whether it be from singing along or shouting over the music, your voice will slowly disappear as the night goes on. Completely normal.
Don’t: Wear Brand New White Sneakers
St Patrick’s street parties can get messy. Drinks spill, streets get crowded and your “fresh-out-the-box” sneakers probably won’t survive the night.
Don’t: Drink and Drive
If you’re planning on drinking, make sure you have a way to get home safely. Taxis, ride-hailing apps or public transport are always the better option.
Don’t: Become The Group’s Early Casualty
We all know one person who’s done by sunset. Don’t be the friend everyone has to babysit at 7pm.
Don’t: Open Your Banking App The Next Morning
Just… don’t.
Don’t: Assume You’ll Remember Everything
Future you might be relying heavily on other people’s Instagram stories.
Don’t: Underestimate The Next-Day Recovery
Water, food and maybe a long nap will become your best friends.
Don’t: Ruin The Vibe
St Patrick’s Day is all about good energy. Respect the people and space around you.
One thing’s for sure, this is going to be one massive celebration.
So grab your green outfits, gather your friends and get ready.
Malta’s biggest St Patrick’s street party is back! Tag your friends!
