David Gilligan, a nephew of crime boss John Gilligan, has appealed to the High Court the dismissal by a Circuit Court judge of a hit-and-run damages claim.

Gilligan, (33) of Greenfort Crescent, Clondalkin, who described himself as an unemployed roofer and denied he was a “serial entrepreneur” with businesses in Ireland and Spain, had also denied having known he had been deliberately targeted in a rear-ending collision by several individuals.
