Wyo. HS 3A-4A Boys Basketball State Championship Scoreboard 2026

The last weekend of the 2026 boys’ prep basketball in Wyoming features the Class 3A and 4A state championships in Casper. Two squads will earn a state title during the second weekend in March. The tournaments will be at the Ford Wyoming Center (FWC) and Casper College (CC). Both defending champs have a shot to repeat. Lovell is the reigning champion in Class 3A, and Campbell County won 4A last year. Both qualified for this year’s state tournament.

WYOPREPS 3A-4A BOYS BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS SCHEDULE 2026

Day one action is at the Ford Wyoming Center. Day two is at Casper College. The consolation and third-place games are back at Casper College. The championship is at the Ford Wyoming Center on Saturday, March 14. It is the second of the four big school state championship games.

THURSDAY, MARCH 12:

Final Score: (2E) Torrington 51 (3W) Lander 43 – Jackson and Booth scored 16 pts apiece for the Blazers, who reach the semis for the 2nd straight year. Torrington was 13-19 at the FT line. McFadden and Hollingshead scored 14 pts each for Lander.

Final Score: (1W) Lovell 80 (4E) Buffalo 57 – The Bullodogs jumped out to a 10-1 lead and never trailed. Owen Walker led the way with 30 points and 15 rebounds for Lovell. Matthew Newman added 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. The Bulldogs shot 54 percent from the field and held Buffalo to 25 percent. Townsend led the Bison with 20 points.

Final Score: (3E) Wheatland 49 (2W) Pinedale 35 – The Bulldogs opened up a double-figure lead with a 17-7 first quarter. Miller led 4 Wheatland players in double figures with 13 points. They shot 49 percent for the game, which included 56 percent in the 2nd half. Pinedale shot only 30 percent and went 4-24 from deep. Costello paced the Wranglers with 11 points.

Final Score: (1E) Douglas 66 (4W) Worland 36 – The Bearcats jumped out to a 14-4 lead and never looked back. They pulled away with a 21-5 second quarter. Douglas hit the running clock in the third quarter. The Bearcats shot 52 percent from the field and scored 25 points off turnovers. Witten Meeks led the way with 18 points. Worland was held to 37 percent shooting, and Elias Mitchell paced the Warriors with 8 points.

FRIDAY, MARCH 13:

Game 5: Lander vs. Buffalo, noon (CC) – loser out

Game 6: Pinedale vs. Worland, 1:30 p.m. (CC) – loser out

Game 7: Torrington vs. Lovell, 6:30 p.m. (CC) – semifinal

Game 8: Wheatland vs. Douglas, 8 p.m. (CC) – semifinal

SATURDAY, MARCH 14:

Game 9: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6, noon (CC) – Consolation Trophy Game

Game 10: Loser Game 7 vs. Loser Game 8, 1:30 p.m. (CC) – 3rd Place Game

Game 11: Winner Game 7 vs. Winner Game 8, 4 p.m. (FWC) – Championship Game

The championship is at the Ford Wyoming Center on Saturday, March 14. It is the final of the four big school state championship games.

THURSDAY, MARCH 12:

Final Score: (2W) Star Valley 70 (3E) Cheyenne Central 61 – Lancaster scored 32 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the Braves into the semifinals. Star Valley led by 3 after the 1st quarter, by 5 at halftime, but pulled away in the second half. Central closed within 4 points in the 3rd and 5 in the 4th, but that’s as close as they got. SV shot 48 percent from the floor and went 19-28 at the FT line. Woods scored 23 to lead the Indians.

Final Score: (1E) Sheridan 76 (4W) Green River 39 – Broncs jumped out 18-8 after the first quarter and cruised to the victory. Nate Miner led Sheridan with a game-high 29 points. The Broncs shot 50 percent, including 69 percent in the 2nd half. Taylor led GR with 10 points.

Final Score: (2E) Thunder Basin 74 (3W) Kelly Walsh 73 – In a tight game, Thunder Basin pulled out the win on free throws. The Bolts went 21-33 at the stripe, which included 11-15 in the 4th Qtr. Kelly Walsh made 3 triples in the 1st half and then just 3 in the 2nd half; 2 of those came late. Gibby Williams led the Bolts with 26 points & 8 boards. Logan Atnip scored a game-high 29 points for KW. TB shot 61 percent, and the Trojans shot 53 percent.

Final Score: (1W) Natrona County 44 (4E) Campbell County 42 – NC nearly let a 10-point lead slip away in the last couple of minutes, but the Mustangs hold on. The Camels had a shot to win it in the last few seconds. Garrett Patik led NC with 10 points. The Mustangs went 12-25 at the FT line. They did get 15 points off 18 Campbell County turnovers. The Camels were led by Ethan Mastellar with 14 points.

Game 6: Kelly Walsh vs. Campbell County, 1:30 p.m. (FWC) – loser out

Game 7: Star Valley vs. Sheridan, 6:30 p.m. (FWC) – semifinal

Game 8: Thunder Basin vs. Natrona County, 8 p.m. (FWC) – semifinal

SATURDAY, MARCH 14:

Game 9: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner 6, noon (FWC) – Consolation Trophy Game
