John Webb is an anchor and reporter at KTVB in Boise, Idaho.
John Webb is the co-anchor of the News at 4 p.m.
John joined KTVB in March 2026 after serving as the weekend anchor at KHQ in Spokane, Washington for nearly four years.
A fourth-generation Idahoan, he takes great pride in reporting in the Gem State. John was raised in the small Idaho mountain town of Wallace – the “Center of the Universe” and “Silver Capital of the World.”
During his time as a student at Wallace Jr./Sr. High School, he worked as a news anchor and program manager for KWAL AM 620. He later signed the station off the air in 2017 after its north tower was hit by a truck.
In the meantime, John, with the help of school leaders, started a community cable TV channel where students produced weekly newscasts for the Silver Valley.
As a proud Idahoan, he enrolled at the University of Idaho. John was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, Student Leadership, Student Media, and worked as an anchor for Pullman Radio News.
During his time as a broadcast and political science student, John earned two student Emmys, two National Hearst and several Idaho Press Club awards.
His biggest honor was in February 2026, when Wallace City leaders gifted him the Key to the City for his coverage of the active shooter inside the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office.
John has covered some of the biggest stories in the Inland Northwest that have garnered national attention, including the Idaho murders, the Idaho firefighters’ ambush, the arrest of 31 Patriot Front members in Coeur d’Alene, the Gorge shooting, and Kootenai County Republican Central Committee Town Hall, where a woman was dragged out.
John is happy to be in Boise, closer to college friends, and enjoying the southern half of Idaho.
