District Sports Officer, Tehri Garhwal, Deepak Rawat, stated that the fourth Tehri Cup Women’s Football State-Level Competition concluded successfully on March 9, 2026, at the PTC Ground. The competition was inaugurated on March 7, 2026. Women’s football teams from various districts of the state participated in the three-day competition, showcasing their athletic skills. The first semi-final match was played between Munsyari(Pithoragarh) and Chamoli. The Chamoli team displayed a superior performance, defeating Munsyari, 1–0, to advance to the final. The second semi-final was played between Uttarkashi and Bageshwar, where the Bageshwar team won 1–0, securing a place in the final. The final match of the competition was played between Chamoli and Bageshwar.

A tough competition was witnessed between the two teams, but ultimately, the Chamoli team won 1–0, claiming the title of the fourth Tehri Cup Women’s Football State-Level Competition. At the conclusion of the competition, the winning and runner-up teams were awarded prizes by the Sports Department. Former Municipal Council President Rajendra Vikram Singh Panwar also honored the winning and runner-up teams with awards on his behalf. Players and attendees praised the Sports Department for successfully organizing the competition.
