Trump’s ‘ONLY FOOLS’ Claim About Oil Gets Hit With Reminder

President Donald Trump is facing heat online after his latest rant attacking critics who are alarmed about the impact his strikes on Iran are having on the price of oil and, by extension, gasoline.

Trump, who campaigned in 2024 on cutting prices ― specifically promising to bring gas below $2 a gallon ― insisted the jump in prices is only “temporary” and that “ONLY FOOLS” would see otherwise.

“Short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World, Safety and Peace. ONLY FOOLS WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY!President DJT”

Gas prices have also jumped since Trump, working with Israel, launched strikes on Iran that took out key leaders but also disrupted traffic at the Strait of Hormuz.

In addition to causing crude to jump and the Dow to plunge, the war has also led to higher prices at the pump: AAA says gas went from an average of $2.984 per gallon a week ago to $3.450 by Sunday.

The president’s critics fired back on social media, reminding him of his past comments on fuel prices and also noting that his justification for the war ― “the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat” ― is at odds with his claim last summer that the strikes he ordered at the time “completely and totally obliterated” the country’s nuclear program.
