KPMG investor day opens doors for Cypriot startups

Two teams participating in the Investor Day of the KPMG Startup Innovation Lab (SIL) have secured direct entry into Phase B of the 16th NBG Business Seeds Competition.

The National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) played an active role in the Investor Day event, reaffirming its commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in Cyprus.

The KPMG SIL Accelerator is a leading investment-oriented acceleration programme dedicated to assisting startups by providing essential resources, expert guidance and access to networks required for their long-term success.

The programme significantly strengthens connections among entrepreneurs, investors and market leaders, with a focus on investment and financial readiness.

As part of its collaboration with the accelerator, the bank actively supported the Investor Day by attending team presentations and directly promoting two teams to the next phase of the NBG Business Seeds Competition.

This support coincides with the launch of the 16th NBG Business Seeds Innovation and Technology Competition, which is the longest-running innovation competition organised by a Greek institution.

This year’s competition offers monetary prizes exceeding €50,000, mentoring from experienced professionals and opportunities for access to investments and markets.

With 8,714 participants to date, direct investments in startups and its role as a Limited Partner in venture capital and equity funds, NBG Business Seeds has become a stable platform for promoting and supporting innovative ideas in both Greece and Cyprus.

The National Bank of Greece (Cyprus), as a member of one of the largest banking groups in Greece and Europe, said that it “remains firmly committed to strengthening entrepreneurship on the island”.

“Through targeted programmes and partnerships, the bank actively supports every initiative that fosters strategic and sustainable business development in Cyprus,” it added.
