Commission, Ombudsman sign MoU to strengthen law reforms – The Reporter Lesotho

The Law Reform Commission and the Office of the Ombudsman have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) seeking to strengthen collaboration in addressing legal and administrative challenges affecting Basotho.

The Ombudsman, Advocate Tlotliso Polaki said the partnership will ensure that complaints received by her office inform the review and reform of outdated or inadequate laws.

She noted that many challenges experienced by citizens stem from gaps within existing legal frameworks.

The agreement underscores the commitment of both institutions to strengthen legal frameworks, enhance accountability, and promote responsive governance in Lesotho.
