PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 17-year-old runaway juvenile.
In a statement posted to Facebook by Plainfield Police Department late Friday night, they say Penelope McGowan was last seen leaving school with her older sister. The sister told investigators that she dropped Penelope off in the neighborhood she resides in with her father.
The last known GPS location was southbound on Moon Road just south of US 40 before her cell phone was believed to be turned off. She left school wearing a white colored shirt, blue pants, a black jacket with fur on the hood, and a backpack. Penelope is 5’4 130 lbs with red hair and hazel eyes.
Police say she has not been in contact with friends or family, that they known of. Police say they don’t know who she could be traveling with or if she is in any danger.
Community members are to call 911 with any information.
