HPD closes illegal gambling operation on Date Street

Honolulu Police Department officers arrested one individual and seized multiple gaming machines, cash, possible illicit drugs, and drug-related paraphernalia using a search warrant at an illegal gambling establishment on Date Street in McCully.

The Narcotics/Vice Division, with assistance from the District 7 Crime Reduction Unit, and the Specialized Services Division, recovered 13 gambling machines along with more than $2,000 in cash.

A 53-year-old male was arrested for promoting gambling in the second degree and possession of a gambling device. The arrest was made without incident.
