Honolulu police have reclassified an unattended death as a second-degree murder investigation after a woman was found with multiple stab wounds in a McCully apartment on Thursday.
District 7 patrol officers arrived at a home on Fern Street, where the 53-year-old woman was found unresponsive. Following an initial assessment, HPD investigators determined the woman had sustained both multiple stab wounds and defensive injuries, suggesting a struggle had occurred.
No arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.
