In a strategic move aimed at enhancing biodiversity and supporting national efforts to combat climate change, the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) and the Ministry of Environment signed a cooperation agreement today to implement a pioneering afforestation project in Madaba Governorate.اضافة اعلان

The agreement was signed at the Ministry of Environment’s headquarters by H.E. Dr. Ayman Suleiman, Minister of Environment, and Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, Chief Commissioner of the CARC.

The initiative, titled “Forest Biodiversity Conservation and Awareness Project (The Botanical Complex),” carries a total budget of 500,000 Jordanian Dinars and spans a duration of 60 months. The project primarily aims to:

Conserve forest genetic resources outside their natural habitats.

Protect and cultivate plant species to ensure their sustainability.

Create an unconventional educational medium to highlight the importance of forest biodiversity in the Kingdom.

During the signing ceremony, Dr. Ayman Suleiman emphasized that this partnership embodies integrated institutional work to protect the Jordanian environment and aligns with the government’s Economic Modernization Vision.

For his part, Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat stated that CARC’s contribution to this project stems from its awareness of its social and environmental responsibilities, and its commitment to supporting initiatives that help reduce the carbon footprint and enhance the green cover in the Kingdom.
