UPLAND, Calif. (KABC) — There’s a new multi-millionaire in Southern California after they hit the SuperLotto Plus jackpot.
The winning ticket was sold at Circle K on Foothill Boulevard in Upland, according to the California Lottery. It matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing, including the mega number, for a whopping $32 million jackpot.
The store also gets a half-percent of the winnings.
Kevin and Jason Flaieh, the store owners, say the money will come in handy for planned renovations.
“We’ve owned this location for about a year. And we have family that owned convenience stores for 30-plus years and never won any jackpot,” said Kevin. “The fact we won it so quick is a very good blessing. It’s a very good sign for us.”
“I’ve never felt so excited in my entire life. This is like one my dreams,” said Jason. “I’ve always told people, ‘I want somebody to win the lottery from my store.’ And now it happened.”
Two other winners in Eagle Rock and Redondo Beach matched the five numbers without the mega number. They will each get $17,000.
