MBABANE– Eswatini’s rapidly ascending music sensation, As 4 Jerry P, recently took another major leap in his career, sitting down for an exclusive interview on the influential South African radio station, Ligwalagwala FM.
Hosted by the legendary broadcaster Dumi “Madumane” Simelane, the conversation provided listeners with a window into the creative mind of the man behind viral hits like Mlentengamunye. Throughout the broadcast, the artist, whose real name is Phumlani Simphiwe Dlamini, reflected on the profound connection between his personal heritage and his discography.

Discussing his name and latest project, As 4 Jerry P shared: “My traditional initiation name, given during Kubutseka, is Nkhanyeti. That is why my song and latest project are titled Inkhanyeti; it is a direct reflection of that sacred journey and my identity as a Swati man.”
Discussing his broader artistic philosophy, he added: “My music is designed to act as a bridge. I want to ensure that while we embrace modern sounds, we never lose the essence of our identity. It’s about telling the story of the emaSwati to the world with cultural integrity.”
