Update: Prepare for snow in 9 Michigan counties until 1 a.m. EST Sunday

An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 11:05 p.m. EST for snow until Sunday at 1 a.m. EST for Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.

“Light snow ongoing between I-94 and I-69 begins to taper over the next couple of hours. Additional accumulations are expected to remain under a half inch. This brings storm totals to a dusting to 2 inches for most areas, with localized totals around 3 inches along the M-59 corridor where the most intense banding set up. Roadways may remain snow covered and slippery tonight, especially those left untreated. Motorists are urged to use caution and account for variable driving conditions by allowing extra time,” describes the weather service.
