Meet Annie, a taxi driver from Grenada who became a vital part of the UN’s response to Hurricane Beryl.
After the hurricane struck the island in 2024, UN Women Multi-Country Office (MCO) — Caribbean partnered with local entrepreneurs like Annie to support recovery efforts on the ground. This collaboration merged immediate humanitarian relief with the creation of sustainable economic opportunities — revitalising livelihoods and promoting community resilience.
