LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The rider of a trail motorcycle was killed after a crash in the east Las Vegas valley on Tuesday, according to police.
It happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. near Desert Inn Road and Lamb Boulevard.
Las Vegas Metro police told 8 News Now an SUV was stopped at a light when an unregistered trail motorcycle approached the stopped SUV and failed to slow down or stop before hitting the rear of the SUV.
The motorcyclist was identified as a 19-year-old man who had life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon, but was later pronounced dead.
The motorcyclist’s death marked the 79th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction for the year 2025. The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.
