Bus carrying Nepali Army personnel for election base camp crashes in Bhojpur

Kathmandu, February 18

A bus carrying Nepali Army personnel met with an accident at Setibagar in Bhojpur Municipality-3, Bhojpur.

According to police, the bus was transporting army personnel to establish a base camp for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 in Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality, Bhojpur.

Police said the bus (Na 4 Kha 7317), belonging to the Nepali Army’s Shree Nath Battalion in Bhojpur and heading towards Temkemaiyung, veered off the road and fell approximately 200 meters down a slope.

A total of 24 people were injured in the accident. Among them, eight injured personnel have been airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepali Army helicopter for treatment, according to Bhojpur Police.
