Murder suspect detained in Chui region

AKIPRESS.COM – The Chui region police department announced on February 17 the arrest of a suspect in a murder case involving a 66-year-old woman.

On February 13, officers discovered the victim’s body on a sofa under a courtyard canopy in the village of Belovodskoye, showing visible signs of severe trauma to her neck, face, and head.

Investigators determined that the woman had been residing in the home with a man and his two children. It was further revealed that a conflict erupted between the woman and the suspect while they were consuming alcohol, which escalated into a fatal beating.

The police have officially registered the case under Article 122 (“Murder”) of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Criminal Code. The suspect, identified as M.R., born in 1982, has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. Law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation into the full circumstances of the crime.
