Foodora to Cease Operations in Finland by February 2026, Affecting 80 Employees | Finland Today | News in English

Foodora is ceasing operations in Finland, the online food delivery company announced in a press release on Friday.

The change negotiation process has been completed. The foodora app and delivery service will continue to operate normally until February 27, 2026, after which the services will no longer be available.

The decision to discontinue operations in Finland is, according to the release, “based on foodora’s strategic focus on investing in markets where the business has the opportunity to achieve clear market leadership and build a strong long-term foodora brand in Europe.”

Employees, partners and couriers have been notified of the decision and the upcoming steps.

The decision impacts around 80 local employees, who, according to the release, will receive support throughout the transition in line with local laws and company policies.

Restaurant and retail partners, as well as delivery riders, will be contacted separately regarding additional measures, including contract termination and the settlement of any outstanding payments.

Foodora has operated in Finland since 2015.
