LEXINGTON — Emergency water repairs are being performed on a major road in Lexington, limiting traffic near a high school.
Traffic controls are in place near the intersection of Corley Mill Road and Mill Stream Road while the Town of Lexington Utilities Department makes repairs, the Lexington Police Department posted.
The roadway remains open but will be limited to a single lane of traffic around the work area, police said.
The work area is about a mile down the road from River Bluff High School.
The short stretch sits along the front yard of Gator Market, Rica Mex and Price Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, and also neighbors the Saluda River Club residential community.
Corley Mill Road is a key connection between Sunset Boulevard/U.S. Highway 378 and South Lake Drive/S.C. Highway 6. About 14,200 vehicles travel down Corley Mill Road per day, according to state Department of Transportation data.
