Isleta Amphitheater is getting a new name

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque will be renamed First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater, the venue announced Wednesday.

The venue named First Financial Credit Union as the official naming rights partner of the venue. The First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater name will debut with the 2026 season.

First Financial Credit Union previously sponsored the venue’s VIP club. The new partnership will provide members with Fast Lane entry and access to special events.

“This naming rights partnership allows us to show up for our community in a meaningful, highly visible way,” said Ron Moorehead, CEO of First Financial Credit Union. “As a member-owned financial cooperative, we want people to understand that how they manage their money can be local, personal and purpose-driven — and this amphitheater helps us tell that story.”

The amphitheater has drawn acts such as Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Lainey Wilson, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Marias over the years. The first show with the First Financial Credit Amphitheater name is set to be Peso Pluma’s March 24 show.

The Isleta Amphitheater name dates back to 2013. The venue opened in February 2000 as the Mesa del Sol Amphitheater, then became the ABQ Journal Pavilion months later. The name remained until 2010 when it became known as The Pavilion at Hard Rock Casino, which lasted until 2013.
