Benghazi Chamber of Commerce holds meeting with Turkish delegation headed by Bursa Chamber of Commerce (KFA)

Benghazi Chamber of Commerce reported yesterday that it had held a meeting with a Turkish business delegation headed by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KFA). The meeting focused on exploring prospects for cooperation and organizing exhibitions and economic events according to the highest professional standards, both within Turkey and abroad.

It said the meeting came in the context of strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Libya and Turkey and reflecting the deep and longstanding positive relations between the two countries.

The Turkish delegation was welcomed by: Munim Al-Saity, Acting Chairman of the Chamber, the Director General of the Chamber, the Director of the Economic and International Relations Department, and the Director General of the Exhibitions and Conferences Department at the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences.

During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was given about the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, outlining its tasks, responsibilities, and the services it provides to its members and the public and private sectors.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of learning from successful experiences in organizing economic exhibitions, particularly those held in several Turkish cities, and working to transfer and implement this expertise in Benghazi in cooperation with Turkish partners.

Both sides affirmed that this meeting represents a first step towards broader cooperation aimed at supporting investment, exchanging expertise, and strengthening economic partnerships to serve the interests of both countries, given the stability and remarkable development Benghazi is witnessing across various sectors.

The Turkish delegation expressed its desire to enhance trade and economic cooperation with Benghazi and to work towards establishing a formal and sustainable partnership. The Bursa Chamber of Commerce, in turn, affirmed its full support for cooperation and joint work with the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, expressing its anticipation of a reciprocal visit to strengthen communication, exchange expertise, and build a robust partnership in the future.

MoU signed between Bursa Chamber and the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences
At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences and the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KFA). The memorandum aims to establish and organize joint economic and trade exhibitions in both Benghazi and Turkey, thereby strengthening institutional cooperation, supporting the exchange of expertise, and stimulating economic activity between the two sides.

Benghazi Chamber of Commerce said this meeting was part of its efforts to enhance its regional and international presence and expand its network of relationships with foreign chambers and economic institutions. This contributes to supporting the private sector, attracting investments, creating a stimulating economic environment for sustainable development, and solidifying the Chamber’s role as a key driver of the national economy.
