Former tourism executive Brian Yost has been named the executive director of the 2027 Las Vegas College Football Playoff national championship host committee.
Yost worked for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority between 2018 and 2025, last serving as chief operating officer of the publicly funded tourism agency.
The CFP host committee is tasked with guiding the process leading up to the 2027 CFP title game, slated for Jan. 25, 2027, at Allegiant Stadium. The host committee features 15 co-committees, chaired by local individuals who specialize in each category.
That includes local planning, operations, logistics and hospitality efforts for CFP week, which includes 18 events around the Las Vegas Valley and the game itself.
During his time with the LVCVA, Yost helped the tourism agency land several major sporting events, including the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, Super Bowl 58, WrestleMania, the 2027 CFP championship and the 2028 men’s NCAA Final Four.
